At Lubbock Animal Medical Center, our support staff plays an essential role in providing the outstanding care and service our clients have come to expect. From the moment you walk through our doors, our dedicated team works hard to ensure your experience is positive, personal, and stress-free.
We understand that every client and pet is unique, and our team takes the time to make sure your individual needs are met with care and attention. Our staff truly loves what they do — and it shows. They treat every pet as if they were their own (and trust us, many of us have quite a few furry family members at home too!).
Tresa
Receptionist
Tresa has been a valued member of the Lubbock Animal Medical Center team since 2005. With her warm personality and caring nature, she loves connecting with clients, learning about their families, and giving extra attention to their beloved pets during every visit.
When she’s not at the clinic, Tresa enjoys camping and traveling with her five children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories with her family wherever they go.
Allison
Receptionist
Allison joined the Lubbock Animal Medical Center team in 2018 and quickly became a welcoming and dependable part of our front desk staff. She loves meeting new people and helping clients, ensuring every visit is friendly and stress-free. Nothing makes her happier than seeing families grow as they add new fur babies to their homes
In her free time, she loves spending time with her young son, enjoying live music, and discover new books.
Cydney
Receptionist
Cydney joined the Lubbock Animal Medical Center team in 2021 and has become one of the friendly faces clients look forward to seeing when they visit. As a receptionist, she loves being the first to greet and care for all the animals that come through our doors — from tiny kittens to bearded dragons and everything in between.
Outside of work, Cydney enjoys reading, cheering at her son’s basketball games, and spending quality time with family and friends. Her caring nature and enthusiasm make her a wonderful part of our client care team.
Kaitlyn
Kennel Manager
Kaitlyn, our Kennel Manager, was born and raised right here in Lubbock, Texas, and she brings her love of animals and family to everything she does at Lubbock Animal Medical Center. She takes great pride in ensuring every pet in our care feels safe, comfortable, and loved during their stay.
At home, Kaitlyn enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs, Steve Rey and Silas Paul, along with her pet turtle, Tara Jo. When she’s not caring for animals, she loves crafting and spending time at the beach, soaking up the sun and relaxing by the water.
Melinda S.
Lead Surgical Technician
Melinda S. is originally from Budapest, Hungary, but was raised in Glendale, Arizona, and now proudly calls Lubbock, Texas, home. As the Lead Surgical Technician at Lubbock Animal Medical Center, Melinda brings a wealth of experience, education, and compassion to every procedure she assists with, ensuring each patient receives the highest standard of surgical care.
Melinda holds degrees in Criminal Justice and Animal Science, as well as a certification from the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician Program. She and her husband, Joshua, have two children—Savannah Grace and Hunter Allen—and a full house of pets, including two dogs (Butter and Jackson), two cats (Milo and Thomas), a green cheek conure named Sheldon, and two hognose snakes (Hamlet and Penelope).
Outside of work, Melinda enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, snorkeling, gardening, traveling, and, above all, spending time with her family.
Lori
Veterinary Technician
Lori is originally from California and joined the Lubbock Animal Medical Center team after relocating to Lubbock for her husband’s job. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician, having graduated from San Joaquin Valley College in California, and brings years of professional experience and compassion to her work in veterinary medicine.
Lori and her husband have two wonderful children—a son and a daughter—along with a house full of pets, including three dogs and two cats. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, antiquing, and photography, and has a special passion for rescuing dogs.
Erma
Veterinary Technician
Erma was born and raised in Levelland, Texas, and brings both skill and compassion to her role as a veterinary technician at Lubbock Animal Medical Center. She loves working with pets and their families, helping provide the highest level of care and comfort to every patient she meets.
Erma has two children, as well as one dog and one cat who keep her company at home. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the movies, dancing, camping, and spending time with her granddaughter, who brings her endless joy.
Sam
Veterinary Technician
Sam has been a loyal and talented employee for many years! Mysteriously her bio disappeared from our website. We blame the internet Gremlins. It will return soon!
Madelynne
Veterinary Technician
Madelynne has worked in the veterinary field since 2019, starting as a veterinary technician assistant and working up to a technician. She joined Lubbock Animal Medical Center in July 2024 and enjoys both the variety of animals she encounters and caring for patients who need hospitalization.
She married in March 2024 and moved to Lubbock soon after with her husband and her bilingual Weimaraner, Zasha. Outside of work, she enjoys CrossFit and keeping life simple and fun with friends.
Jon
Veterinary Technician
Jon joined the Lubbock Animal Medical Center team in February 2019 and has become a valued part of our veterinary care staff. He takes pride in building strong relationships with clients and their pets, ensuring every patient receives compassionate, attentive care—especially those recovering in the hospital.
Outside of work, Jon enjoys caring for his own animals, including his rat terriers, aquariums, and finches, reflecting his lifelong love for animals of all kinds.
Vanessa
Veterinary Technician
Vanessa joined the Lubbock Animal Medical Center team in December 2019 and quickly became a friendly and dedicated part of our veterinary care staff. She loves meeting clients and working closely with their beloved pets, ensuring each one receives gentle, personalized attention.
Originally from Bovina, Texas, Vanessa enjoys spending her free time hiking, drawing, and horseback riding. She is also passionate about continuing her education in the animal care field to expand her knowledge and skills. At home, she cherishes time with her loyal dog, Cortana.
Chris
Veterinary Technician
Chris has been a valued member of the Lubbock Animal Medical Center team since 2019. He enjoys working in the kennels, where he provides comfort and companionship to pets while their owners are away, and also assists our veterinarians in exam rooms and with patient care. His dedication and gentle approach help ensure every pet feels safe and cared for during their stay.
At home, Chris shares his life with three dogs and five cats, all of whom keep him happily busy. In his spare time, he enjoys collecting comic books and spending quality time with his family.
Michala
Veterinary Technician
Michala joined the Lubbock Animal Medical Center team in 2021 and is passionate about building trust with the animals in her care. She understands that every patient is unique and takes great care to ensure each one feels safe, calm, and comfortable during their visit. Her compassionate approach and dedication make her an invaluable part of our veterinary care team.
Outside of work, Michala enjoys spending time with her daughter and family, cherishing every moment together.
Nathan
Veterinary Technician
Nathan joined the Lubbock Animal Medical Center team in 2021 and is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care to every patient he works with. His attention to detail and genuine love for animals make him a valued member of our veterinary care team.
Outside of the clinic, Nathan enjoys playing the violin, spending time with his dog, and playing volleyball, balancing his passion for animal care with his love of music and sports.
Amy
Veterinary Technician
Amy has been working in veterinary medicine for more than six years and joined the Lubbock Animal Medical Center team in 2022. Originally from Plainview, Texas, she brings compassion, skill, and enthusiasm to her role, enjoying both interacting with clients and caring for their pets.
Outside of work, Amy loves reading, writing, and spending quality time with her family and dogs. Her caring personality and dedication make her a valued member of our veterinary care team.
Taylor
Veterinary Technician
Taylor brings nearly two decades of experience caring for animals, including six years working at a county animal shelter in her hometown of Carlsbad, New Mexico, and 10 years as a professional dog groomer. Her passion for animals began after high school and has continued throughout her career.
Taylor especially enjoys caring for animals who are nervous or scared and being there to provide comfort and reassurance when they need it most.
Outside of work, Taylor enjoys spending time with her two dogs, collecting plants, training her dogs, and enjoying the outdoors.
Alyssa
Veterinary Technician
Alyssa began in veterinary medicine as a receptionist in 2017 and became a technician in 2019. She’s worked across the hospital, including appointments, surgery, kennels/boarding, and reception, and is comfortable jumping in wherever she’s needed.
She especially enjoys caring for hospitalized patients, running bloodwork, taking X-rays, and supporting the doctors. Outside of work, she loves gardening (including growing fruits and vegetables), cooking and baking, and she can even make piñatas. Much of her time away from work is also devoted to caring for her son.
Taylor
Veterinary Technician
Taylor returned to Lubbock from Houston, where she worked as a veterinary receptionist for a year and discovered she loved the role. When an opportunity opened at Animal Medical Center, she took it so she could continue in veterinary medicine back home.
She loves meeting new puppies and kittens and helping clients feel peace of mind about their pets’ health. Outside of work, she spends time with her cat Cleo, reads constantly, and enjoys being with her family.
Muranda
Receptionist
Since joining the veterinary field in December 2025, Muranda has loved getting to care for and “love on” all the fur babies that come through the door. Her warm personality and passion for animals make her a wonderful part of the team.
Outside of the clinic, she owns a resale business, is a proud wife and pet mom to two fur babies, and enjoys spending her free time fishing with her husband and making memories with her sister and best friend.
JC
Veterinary Technician
JC brings more than 13 years of experience in the veterinary field to his role at Lubbock Animal Medical Center, which he joined in November 2022. He has a genuine passion for working with animals and takes great pride in ensuring that every patient feels safe, calm, and comfortable—especially when facing the stress of a doctor’s visit. His gentle approach and years of hands-on experience make him an invaluable part of our team.
Outside of work, JC is an avid aquarium enthusiast and enjoys maintaining his live shrimp planted tanks, combining his love of animals with his appreciation for nature and aquatic life.
Anissa
Veterinary Technician
Anissa earned her bachelor’s degree at Texas Tech in Animal Science (pre-vet) and most recently completed a master’s degree in Animal Behavior. Before joining AMC, she volunteered hundreds of hours at the Abilene Zoo, which helped spark her passion for exotic animals.
At Lubbock Animal Medical Center, she values the teamwork and camaraderie, and the way the staff treats each other, clients, and pets like family while continually learning and growing together. In her free time, she enjoys coloring, doing puzzles, and reading.
Alison
Veterinary Technician
Alison volunteered for three years with Rescue For PTSD, helping train rescued dogs to become service animals for veterans living with PTSD. She also gained clinical experience as a kennel technician and veterinary technician assistant at an animal hospital in Houston.
At Lubbock Animal Medical Center, she loves client interaction, getting to know each pet, and making sure families feel their concerns are taken seriously and their pets are treated like her own. As a fun fact, she’ll gently carry spiders outside rather than harm them, but cockroaches are the one thing that genuinely unsettles her.
Courtney
Receptionist
Courtney has been a valued member of the Lubbock Animal Medical Center team for the past six years. With her friendly personality and positive attitude, she enjoys helping clients and working alongside her fellow receptionists to create a welcoming experience for every visit. She especially appreciates the variety each day brings and the opportunity to support both pets and their owners.
Outside of the clinic, she is a proud pet mom to cats, dogs, and even a snake, showing her love for animals of all kinds
Moon
Veterinary/Kennel Technician
Since joining AMC in July 2023, Moon has brought years of experience working with animals, including horse rehabilitation with water treadmill and red light therapy. Although her career has taken her around the world, she has always found her way back to caring for animals and supporting the people who love them.
She is passionate about helping pets live happy, healthy lives and being there for families as they care for their fur babies. Outside of work, she enjoys horseback riding, movie trivia, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Jaret, and their beloved pets — Jedi, Obi Wan Kenobi, and Beasley
Autumn
Veterinary Technician
Autumn loves being a vet technician at Lubbock Animal Medical Center who focuses on advocating for pets and the people who love them.
In her downtime, she enjoys relaxing and making art.
Ethan
Veterinary Technician
With 25 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Ethan is passionate about helping animals feel their best and loves being part of a team that truly cares. Known for his calm, compassionate approach, he enjoys comforting patients, supporting pet owners, and helping keep every tail wagging.
Outside of work, Ethan is an avid collector of baseball cards, comic books, and unique estate sale treasures. At home, he shares his life with seven beloved dogs, a beautiful cat named Maleficent, and his Amazon parrot, Big Al.
Juliana
Veterinary Technician
Growing up around both livestock and small animals, Juliana developed a lifelong passion for animal care as a fifth-generation Hereford rancher and former goat showman. Currently studying Animal Science at Texas Tech, she hopes to attend veterinary school and one day become a mixed animal veterinarian serving a rural community.
She loves building connections with clients and their pets and enjoys hearing the stories that make each family unique. Outside of work and school, she enjoys spending time at First Friday Art Trail and the Wolfforth Farmers Market, volunteering at the South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, and caring for her pets — goats Waylon and Tigger, and her dog, Dolly Mae, back home in White Deer, Texas.
Taryn
Veterinary Techician
Although newer to veterinary medicine, Taryn has quickly developed a true passion for the field during her time at AMC. After previously working in rescue, she loves being part of a team that supports and encourages one another to grow and become the best they can be in veterinary medicine. She especially enjoys caring for the animals and working alongside the staff and doctors each day.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her children, cheering them on in their sports and activities, working out, and taking walks with her dog, Rocco.
